This AI TA was built using an open-source large language model. It has been trained to give first-year writing students feedback on their essay drafts without violating academic honesty principles. It is housed locally, allowing the teacher to have full control over the security and privacy of its users, while also allowing monitoring of student AI interactions.
These Composition materials were created for university level first year writing courses, and delivered both locally and internationally.
